Romney concedes presidency

Mitt Romney has finally conceded defeat in the Presidential campaign and therefore leaves the path clear for Barack Obama to serve his second term.

Obama, who won over the required 270 Electoral College votes, received the custom call from Romney, who admitted defeat.

Romney appeared at his Boston headquarters to deliver a speech to the world.

Despite the fact the race was called at 4:10, Romney didn’t appear until 5:56am

The now-ex Republican Presidency candidate, was quick to praise his right-hand-man, Paul Ryan, announcing “Besides my wife Ann, Paul was the best choice I’ve ever made”

Romney also thanked his family for their support during the campaign. “I want to thank Ann, the love of my life.” Before thanking everyone involved from day one of his presidential race.

“You inspired us and you humbled us” he added. “Our leaders have to reach across the aisle.”
